Gladiator2

Yea, so my friend stopped by and he brought a few of his VST's. One of them (Gladiator2) is a BEAST!! The synth is super powerful and the routing is so complex (but simple) that anything can be created super easily.

It features 4 usable oscilators w/ a 5th lurking in there somewhere (still trying to figure out how to activate it) plus, 256 voices. with countless blending options. There's on board digital morphing capabilities, along with 2 LFO's + 1 Step LFO, Distortion, Noise, Arp, and a variety of different Filters. So far I've counted 40. With several being patterend aftter Moog products.

Here's a screenshot of the GUI:

I just created my first patch using Gladiator which
is featured below. This one is definitely a keeper
and I'm sure will be my goto synth for the future.

Favorite VST that I use hands down (Along side the simple yet so effective Ableton's Operator). I've used it in every track I've produced in this last 2-3 months. You create some REALLY fucking cool textures/pads with it, and just about anything else you could imagine. I've created a nice little bank of patches ive programmed over the last year with this Gladiator, all are some temperamental in a good way; They are easily altered into something new. Makes for some awesome automation.

If you like Gladiator, you should try ElectraX, can get more complex and it sounds awesome. http://www.tone2.com/html/electrax_...er__vst_au.html

My thoughts exactly.

Not a real fan of this synth, this it sounds sterile.

Thats why electraX is better, 3osc per layer, 4 layers, its not sterile when you layer the sounds. As far as Gladiator goes, I mostly only use it for some of the pad presets that I like, if I'm creating from scratch, I usually reach for ElectraX,Virus, or Z3ta. (not in any order)

Exactly what I think of it, I don't use it much. Everything literally sounds sugar coated and overly digital for me.
