I was just wondering if I'm the only trance-lover who went to pop/rock festivals this summer. I went to Rock werchter and Pukkelpop.
I didn't went there for the pop/rock, but for the trance, techno, house, electronic music.

Are there any onther trance-lovers who went to festivals?

Not any pop or rock festivals, but I went to the Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, and Godskitchen Global Gathering this year. Both of which were excellent.

I went to Area2 for tiesto, digweed, carlcox, diesel boy and john tab

Two large events for me so far this year:

First,the Quart Festival in my hometown.No trancers this year(the house snobs of Oslo have their cold claw all over the DJ-booking,and when Stigma and Southside Spinnes were there,I wasn't 18 ),and thanks to 21 year age limits and the fact that all my friends only like rock/pop,I missed Luke Slater,Timo Maas,DJ Marky & Patife,Adam Freeland,Dimitri From Paris,Osunlade +++.Grrr....

But the rock/pop program was great.Went to see among others Kent(great swedish band),Múm(weird,but cute electronica band from Iceland),Belle & Sebastian,Bobby Conn and the best of them all: ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.Damn,they rocked the place!!They played at like 3-4 am in a small hall full of smoke,and blasted the shit out of the speakers,and even smashed the instruments at the end of the concert and everyone were likeOne of the best rock concerts I've been to EVER!So I had a great time,even though I missed most of the artists form the genre I love the most.

Second was the Summer Parade in Oslo.I traveled to Oslo all by myself,since none of my friends wanted to.I just couldn't miss DJ Fire,Airwave,Stigma and DJ Elusive at the trance.nu's Summer Boat party.First of all I met with some of the people at a forum for a record store in Oslo.We met outside of the store,had some beers,while inside DJ Jamie was spinning some great tunes to get us all in the mood.DJ Pure showed up later as well.Soon,it was time to go.Me and three others threw ourselves into a cascade of booming bass,HOT dancers(and I mean HOT!!!!! ),colourful deko + a throng of people with all the possible differences you could find.In other words: The Parade.We danced our way through the crowd to reach the next float,accompanied by Reeloop - Fucking Society that got blasted out from the one we were passing.By then I knew that this would kick ass.The boat was great,too.You can read the review of the party @ trance.nu,I'll just say for now that it rocked!!

All in all a great summer for me,and in about a month I'm off to Berlin to see PvD and Nick Warren!So this will be a great year for me.

i went to the roskilde festival for the fith year in a row
red hot chili peppers among others played this year
in the trance tent such djs as john digweed, timo maas, dj remy and way out west played
(last year tiesto played a killer set )

I went to Parkpop (www.parkpop.nl) this year in The Hague, the biggest free popfestival in Europe. I almost go every year, cause it's a 10 minute walk from mine house.

And I also went to Dance Valley.

Down-Under was da bomb

Kaivarin Kesäkonsertti in Helsinki. Free festival, with artists like Bomfunk MC's (with guests Max'C, Mighty 44 and Jessica Folker), Sophie Ellis Bextor, Tiktak, Kemopetrol, other crap Finnish rock-artists, and.. Shakira (shake that ass!)

I also went to Area 2 near Philly. Tiesto played a great set but as always Carl Cox tore it up. Sasha was amazing!

I just wished Tiesto got to play later in the night instead of almost an opener! hahaha

Carl Cox has not dissapointed me yet.

I Went to Area2 in Boston. I saw Tiesto, Digweed, and Cox. They all were good. I Never heard Cox live before,his set was slammin.
