What I love mostly about KDJ is that he always has a theme for his albums. It's something most producers lack now a days. He always tries to produce down to his Detroit roots and share a bit of the life down there with other people.
Yea, Det.Riot is a bit shorter, that's what I mainly like about it. Short, concise, tells the story - and good music
Not saying the other albums aren't total work of art, obviously 
another artist that has such themes is Terre Thamelitz (not about Detroit life though)
