I had a very weird, yet awesome dream last night. Any DJ/producer will tell you that we go through up and down phases where we find no direction to our careers or to our work. Sometimes we feel disappointed other times we feel stuck. Last year I started feeling just like that.

Well, last night I dreamt that I was in the studio making some weird, mind tripping techno. I love techno, but I've never attempted to make techno. The weird part was that it felt like I was actually there. I could see, hear and control everything I was doing. It all clicked. It was all extremely clear to the point I could see the breakdown of track in Ableton and I had total control.

Than later on, I saw myself playing those weird tracks in front of thousands at a festival in the woods. Everyone was going nuts. In my dream I kept looking at the laptop screen and all the tracks I was playing had my name on them. They were done by me. It was as if my dream was trying to tell me not to give up. Weird!

Great dream, not weird. I would say go for it.
I heard people dreaming of melodies and they have always a notepad near the bed.
When they wake up they make notes about the melodies or humming them into an audio recorder. Whatever works I guess.

Nice one!! I think you should start making techno. If that's what your subconscious is tell you to do- do it. I have wierd dreams all the time. This one time Me and Chuck Norris went to see a movie and then drove around the mall parking lot in his truck. Then another time, I ran into Ferry Corsten at the mall, and we ran around looking at Florida Gator gear. Then we had both played inside the CD Shop in the mall and some dude broke my headphones. It was awesome!! Dreams are wierd..

Awesome dream, must have been amazing! Now imagine that as a reality, I hope you noted all of the tracks down! lol

Yea - i do that, loadsa random melodies on my phone recorder. It's interesting to listen back to them after you make the track!
