Mills is notoriously hit-and-miss. For 90s Techno, he was practically untouchable - I recall nights of ferocity at his hands that jumped back and forth between my dancing my ass off and wanting to vomit. Now, he's gone all bloopity-esoteric-outer-spacey, combined with 909 solos that don't really fit the context of his sets. The last time I saw him was in 2009 at the Time Festival in Toronto and there was hardly anything he dropped that made me want to move my feet. Mind you, Toronto sucks for jacking Techno and House these days, so most DJs of that ilk don't exactly bring their A-game to this city. My guess is that he's very location-dependent - where's he playing that you're thinking of checking him out?
Saw him in March last year. Great set, my favourite of last year.
He played hard yet spacey Techno and the 909. Nothing beats the sound of a raw 909!

I saw him last year play a whole night, the set up was incredibly pretentious (he didnt have the decks on a table he was sitting on the stage with all the equipment on the floor lol) but the music was amazing. I'd say go
Wouldn't miss it, unless you are lucky to live in a place where you have great choice of quality acts all year around.
Saw him once in 2007-2008 and it was good though not exceptional, also the basement setting surely helped to give that ravey feeling I very appreciated.
