"City Scape" - 127 BPM - *House - Updated, different direction 2/6

First track since moving to San Francisco... heaps of inspiration all around. Downtown San Francisco, 7th floor apartment, beautiful buildings all around me towering above, very surreal for a desert dweller!

Need to sit down for several hours with it again, but here is the idea.

Updated:

2 different tracks now, will probably leave that Bristol one alone in terms of that lead and vibe, and have this track seperate. They seemed almost like 2 tracks mixed together, so this idea should stand out a little better from the last. Personally, I think it's pretty damn groovy! You be the judge.

Here we go man, very interesting WIP you throw together, overall like this melodic environment idea/concept with sweeping through electro like synth sound, sweet and cool combo, in my opinion. I think that you definitely got something interesting to work with or develop farther.

I'm glad that you still kicking and creaming my friend, good luck with this latest project !!!

Cheers,

Darek

thanks.

needs some fillers for atmosphere... strings maybe? maybe some stabs when it's just bass... now to get the rest of the arrangement up to par.

It's a cool idea mate, but for me needs more grit n grunge. For example the snare and other sounds for me are too pretty and clean. Maybe it's just a taste thing, I don't know.

Like the vocal idea. Quirky.

Understandable observation. I worked on the arrangement more. Going to take a little break and then try to churn out a final product this weekend. Any other feedback is welcome, and if some of you can blast it out on your rigs and give feedback on that it helps too. 'preciate cha!

I really like the City Scape WIP in the first past- though I agree with Richard Butler that both tracks could use a little grit in the percussion. Just to give it some more power. The snare kinda sounds like a button on your pants hitting the side of your tumble drier :P

I left some other comments on Soundcloud
