This is really impressive for just a bit of noodling lol. I really felt it was about to get serious just as it ended though, so yeah I'd love to see if you develop this further cos it's sounding pretty promising.

more discrete layers are needed man. track sounds like a lot of whooosh right now, which isn't bad, but it does not distinguish it from many other reverb- and delay-laden ambient compositions. the melodic/harmonic work is pretty interesting, got that cinematic vibe. could easily be mixed with other tunes to make a nice-sounding set tho.
I couldn't agree more. I think once the guitar comes in there's a little more identity but I'm going to be adding a lot more sounds for placement and atmosphere.
Thanks for the useful feedback.

Yeah, I just wanted to get that guitar noodle down to create the mood. It's actually pretty easy to do stuff like this if you've got Omnisphere and a decent reverb
kind a just sounds like random omnisphere patches that would be heard in a straight to movie horror film from the 80s. Just the type of ambiance and the reverb is rather dated in terms of ambiances for film and well, ya it just sounds like you are pressing random notes with random patches. I wouldn't say cue because it doesn't have a picture and well it doesn't do anything so ambient. But ya, it just sounds lazy to me.

Well there's definitely a load of Omnisphere in there for sure.
It's not exactly random though, but was supposed to lead up to the guitar part. Perhaps if I could actually play the guitar better it would make more sense.
It's really just about evoking an atmosphere, it's an experiment based around a mood or something.
