I'm confused, are these songs originally of Paul Oakenfold or Paul Van Dyk?
The songs 'words', '1998', and 'rendezvous' are originally created by whom: Paul Van Dyk or Paul Oakenfold? I have always been a follower of Paul Van Dyk and thought that PVD was the creator; however, I recently discovered Paul Oakenfold, and I'm confused if HE is the real composer behind the said songs. Thanks!

It seems like "Words" is a collaboration between Paul Van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold. "1998" was originally composed by Binary Finary, but a remix by Paul Van Dyk grew to be famous. As far as "Rendezvous" goes, I couldn't a lot of solid description on the track but it appears that the original surfaced as a 'versus' collaboration featuring Tilt and Paul Van Dyk, and the was later remixed by Paul Oakenfold.
Hope I helped

No you were of no help. You did things even more confusing.
Words is produced by Paul Van Dyk alone.
Rendezvous is a coproduction between Tilt and Paul van Dyk.
Oakenfold didn't produce any of them.
i think that on the tranceport cd Words appears as a collaboration between Dyk and Oakenfold and that is why people started labelling it as a cooproduction.

Bullshit! It was a collaboration between Tilt and PvD and Oakenfold had nothing to do with it.

Sorry, I was going based off the Tranceport album. Why there those songs in the album if Paul Oakenfold had NOTHING to do with them.

It's a mix compilation and not an artist album.
Guys, call off the hounds.
