im pretty sure propellerheads offers money to anyone who can crack their newest software publicly(as a prize).

Actually it wouldn't surprise me at all if they cracked other companies, and I've got a pretty good guess as to which company you're talking about.

It has everything from people infiltrating competitors companies and working as double agents, to magazines supplying review models from one company to another competitor to reverse engineer their designs, to trips to scientist inventors in Switzerland (and what spy story is ever complete without a trip to Switzerland?), to people trying to backdate patents only being held by strange shell companies....all this and RZA (from WuTang) getting screwed out of $2m in the process.

Audio industry is serious dark ops at times.

I'd take that severance package, liquidate everything else, and find another place to live.

I'd be amazed if anybody was amazed that this happens.
