Fascinating... I went to bed at 8:00 PM in order to wake up earlier this Monday (around 5:00 AM). I've just waken up: it's 11:30 (PM), and I can't sleep anymore! What do you guys do when you have insomnia?

Hit my self numerous times with metal objects...err.. Actually I do something constructive or energy consuming.. Such as build legos(Legos rule!), work out, drive around, take a walk, read something, there are few others to do also.. *cough* You could just go the easy way and stay up all night

not much u can do now mate. ur pretty much screwed. Happens to me a lot. I wouldnt recommend taking sleeping pills coz u mite get a bit overdosed and fail to wake up by 5.00 so best just to sit it out and hope ya get some kip before 5

hmm...two things u can do i guess

1. go the distance & stay awake 'til tomorrow night, works if u don't mind feeling like sh&^ all day

2. force urself to sleep...tried this once & must say it worked alright...think i woke up at something like 6pm, then just went to bed and tried sleeping around 12...woke up again at 4 and tried to sleep again, i think i managed another hour before i woke up again & figured i wouldn't be able to get to sleep again

at least that way u feel alight the next day...but u feel it in the arvo

I read, I drank warm milk, counted sheeps, tried to get legos (but I didn't find), I even went to bed, but nothing happened...

Well, time to study now (yeah, as if ). Thanks for the hints!

I might try DCaff's idea next time... but I'll need some aspirine then

get really drunk,you'll fall asleep in no time,but you might look screwed the day after

dont take sleeping pills cos it is hard to sleep naturally with out them if u have been using them for a while.

U need to get more excerise. run round ur block or something.
