Progressive House, Progressive Trance

Allright guys.

Can somebody explain the difference between the two genres for me ?

Would it be fair to say that this is progressive house:

Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl Feat. Georgi Kay - In My Mind (Axwell Mix) Full Version HD - YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...d&v=SZW7cW2QKf0

And this is progressive trance ?

Cosmic Gate & Emma Hewitt - Be Your Sound - YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxMt...player_embedded

Is it a case of Prog house having more of a bassline , and Prog trance being more melodic?

I love the type of music in the posted links, and have done for a very long time!
I just find it hard to distiniguish between the different genres.

Is it just a case of trance being more soothing ?

What would you class this as, house ?

Neither of those tracks constitute progressive or trance at all anyways.

What would you say those tracks are then ?
And no funny answers.

Could you post a video of what you believe to be progressive house and progressive trance ?

No, it wouldn't be fair. Neither of those tracks are progressive house, nor progressive trance.

Here is what I believe to be progressive house:

And progressive trance:

those tracks are more trouse if anything.

Progressive house has got a bit silly now since everyone labels a lot of arena house as progressive.

Prog tends to be more intelligent and less centered around one or two build ups in a song.

heres a few prog songs
