Smile WIP, need feedback on bassline. Also, percussion

Hello, this is a piece I'm currently working on:

I can't decide if this bassline sounds okay or is it too busy? I was going for straight anjuna-like sidechained saw bassline but couldn't layer the sounds properly so I kinda moved the notes around and this is what came out of it. Do you think that it could work or should I simplify it?

Also, let's assume that the bassline will do. Do you think it will work better with full and rich percussion or maybe simple minimal sound?

EDIT: updated link

the bassline idea is cool, i would try and come up with a better melody it sounds kind of plain right now

Thanks! I agree that the melody is lacking, I'm working on a better one

OP link updated to new version, I need an advice on after-breakdown phrase. Does it sound good or is it just me?

Mix is cool. The level on the bass-line seems a little thin and the modulations don't always relate to the rest of the track, rhythmically. You're also killing a lot of energy, having three breaks, one of which seems a little too long. I like what you have in the drops and the percussion is kind of cool. It just needs a little glue to pull everything together. The bass-line reminds me a little of some of Seandroid's work even though he's a completely different genre than yours. You might consider borrowing some of his ideas.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! You are right about breaks, I'm going to shorten the big one (it's 24 bars now).
