I read on the board somewhere of someone using the the black cart. (Ortofon CC PRO S) and putting the Nightclub stylus on.

Is this a good choice......

Also.....whats the diff. in the Stanton Disc Master and the Disc Master 2.

1) yup can be done, but there's still no consensus about the fact if the actual cartridge has some effect too. Some people say it's useless to put a higher grade stylus on the lower end cartridge because it has other caracteristics. Others say the difference is only in the styli, and the carts only have different paintjobs.
I haven't got the time yet to look deeper into this, so can't confirm.

2) mainly the cartridge that changes, the 1 was one big ugly rectangular-like cart, whereas the two has the same casing as Trackmasters. It's their most affordable P-mount.

I have nighclubs and the quality is incredible. The nightclub and the gold concords are exactly the same it's just color. But if you want something with good quality I would go with Nighclubs...BUT..the record wear is pretty bad. So you go to take very good care of your records or the needle will eat it alive!!

Frankly for home use I don't see the point of getting Nightclubs. The quality difference between dj's and nightclubs is not big at all. The price difference is.

If I were to get them they would be for home/club use.......I was just wondering if I could get the black needle and put the yellow tips on it without it causing in major problems in the long run........
