Need Suggestions

After two years of DJing, I decided I want to start producing my own music to use in my gigs and stuff. What is the best software program(s) that I should buy to help me produce music? (Money is not a problem).

hmm.. I don't think that's what ebolacola means by "money is not a problem". Ebola, having hardware is a great option, but extremely expensive. You need to get each piece individually. Although i think mantsinl may have been sarcastic there?

About buying pieces separately:
Roland is coming out with a new machine
in the MC-series soon.
Have a look @ this link, don't forget to listen to
the clips!:
http://www.roland.co.uk/gr10/mc/base.swf

Personally, I don't like all in one solutions
that much, but the MC-series have proven to be
a valuable tool for people who create dance music...
and the initial specs of this one look good!

And as with all hardware: It's got limits, but I don't
experience limits as bad, you'll always know exactly where
you stand...

Greetz,

I've heard from producers, friends, and other TAs that a good setup for producing your own music, is a comfortable setup of hardware and software...blanaced with eachother to perform a zen equivalent of sound perfection. hahah!!

work on software first, then move on to hardware
Reason and Cubase are my suggestions
or if you just wanna fuck around for now download fruityloops and play with that.. pretty easy and has a nice sound to it
