DJ Sneak on Swedish House Mafia

"It's a sad thing when the Swedish House Mafia is being paid BIG money to come to the US to play house music. For the record, they DO NOT play house music." - DJ Sneak

euro pop:

house (whether or not you like it):

i'm not defending them, btw, just pointing out how ridiculous this whole argument is. there is plenty of low hanging fruit from these guys, but trying to make some retarded genre argument is really dumb

while i will concede some layers of genres can be subjective, it's quite simply not euro pop - it's house music by structure, design, and sound

i guess you could call it "euro house", but that would be shitting on all the good European house artists

i think the best way to call guetta/SHM/etc is just commercial house. anyone who knows anything about EDM will tell you that's an insult, which is why it's appropriate

genres are subjective to a certain extent. I dont think we need another thread attempting to define genres do we?

I agree with jonmitz. A more recent example of euro pop is Inna.
