98v2, is what i am happy with.

Do not install Xp unless u have over 128mb of ram!! as it uses shit loads.

I like win XP

your CPU is more than fast enough to handle the OS, your RAM is another issue.

128 RAM is the least I MEAN LEAST you can have because win XP on its own eats like 80 MB ram

if you have norton antivirus, utilities, internet security [ WHICH YOU SHOULD HAVE ] installed then it goes to like 130 MB ram

after that the PC taxes your HD and that is too slow

I don't know what kind of ram or pc you have now but if you are running an older system with
PC 100/133 RAM than it will run win XP great if you have 256 MB ram

if you live in toronto
then cheapest place to shop is

where the 256 ram is like 55 CND plus tax

so in conlcusion I think XP is the best OS out there and those individuals that are still using Win 98 SE or whatever....WAKE UP!!!

Or even better, buy yourself a Mac machine and install OS X... You would then have a BSD based OS with a nice GUI plus compatibility to many consumer and pro programs (photoshop, office, warcraft 3, etc)...

But as far as windows go, install either win2k or another 256 megs of ram (they cheap nowadays) + xp... And you'll be more than happy..

Well, since i have a shitty computer, and am a nerd, but not nerdy enough for linux, I go with win2k. Stable as fuck. Win98 drove me nuts, so many BSOD (blue screens of death). Not the best OS for gaming though.
