How to Compensate for Interface Latency

How to Compensate for Interface Latency

http://wiki.cockos.com/wiki/index.p...terface_Latency

-------------------
I helped my rapper friend set up his home studio and he was bitching about a delay on the headphones when he was recording on the mic with a cheep m-audio usb audio interface.
I told him I'll look in to it.

I need this for later so I am just going to make this thread, maybe it will help some one else.

Maybe my buddy needs a firewire audio interface?
Any help welcome!

use direct monitoring. Every soudcard does it including m audio. He is monitoring the output of the program when he should be monitoring the the actual input from the soundcard.
