Sasha @ ARC reviews

it was an ok night, nothing special happend and sasha disappointed me a bit because during the set he got a little hard then drops low then hard again and back to low...that was sooo boring to hear...i had more fun listening to digweed who keept it going harder as the set went on.

But overall as night it as good. Sound system is sooooo awesome....no problem with my hearing after i walked out of there and it has some nice Bass....the system will be put to nice use on 10/05/02

It was nice to see arnold, art, caryn, lara, alex, rick, john, tom, tonmoy and i finally met dennis(phazon), but where the hell did all of you guy go at the end when we were leaving...i was walking out with all of you and when i come out of the club i only see aronld

and i didnt see Daphna +2 ...anyone see them?

he started LATE, around 12:45, Set royally SUCKED.. When music was finally building up, he would puit a silence and started again with cheese lyrics..
And is it me, or all his songs sound the same?
There was this one song that was great, but the set as whole was WACK.
Daphna, u lucky u didnt make it..
Kid Nyce and Butterfly, I would stay in NYC and go watch XxX or something instead of driving.. SET ROYALLY SUCKED...

Re: Sasha @ ARC reviews

Ye, nice seeing you all..
and yes, Phazon was a GREAT improvement, no hearing loss and only minimal ear ringing, but the place needs better woofers.. sounded BAD when they would throw dry ice and sasha would put base only..
Some rattle in it, and base was overpowering the highs - no good.. but overall a nice sound system..

My friend left the tix at his house in long beach. He came to my apt at 11:30 & I was like fuck it.

My friend who is a HUGE sasha fan said he was ok, fine and that the crowd was horrible. That the minute the doors opened everyone just shuffled into the mainroom & stared at the booth. She said the set was flat & that James Zabiela was fantastic.

Opennig DJ was off the hook...
Croud was wack but very very friendly and Twilo like.. Nothing but apologies and nice comments mostly...
Sasha was BAD!!! or is it my sobriety along with my tiredness along with overpacked/overheated/overcrouded main room?

first of all, I Must say the opening DJ had some SICK SKILLZ. I mean the way he was tearing up that vinyl with the breakbeats made my jaw drop. The Phazon sound was pretty nice, no ringing ears afterwards. Sasha's set wasnt that much of a let down as some people are saying. I do agree with Matt about how it was getting kind of boring when he was building it up, then dropping a very chill track. But he made up for all of it in the last 20 mins. Then he closed out the night with XPANDER!! Best part of the night for me was when I got my copy of Wavy Gravy on vinyl signed. It seemed like I was the only one with a record in my hand, so I got as close as i could and put it on the ledge of the DJ booth. Sasha signed and gave it back like a minute later. When I got it in my hands, all the lights in the place went on, and the crowd was cheering and clapping. But after I got my record signed, everyone else started to buy the record or the CD (they were selling them there) so Sasha could sign it. It was getting annoying cuz he was signing something every 2 mins. Sasha seems like a pretty cool guy cuz he was just all smiles about it. It was definatly fun hanging out with arnold, art, caryn, matt, and Phazon who I met for the first time.
