Venice is cool, but I wouldn't really recommend it honestly. It's not a true living place like others on your list, it's like a single, huge monument(sure, it has a lot of individual things to see inside of it, but I think you get the point). It's absolutely amazing if your niche is history and the art/architecture of it's age. Apart from that it really doesn't have that much else to offer. From my own experience I can tell you that it's crowded as hell, far too much people, literally 98% of them are tourists so you won't really see much of domestic culture, apart from what's exposed as tourist attractions. Be ready for a nasty smell sometimes too. There's also a McDonalds hidden somewhere, so have fun finding it without a map if you decide to go there (I'm kidding, don't go to McDonalds in Venice, please!) 
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bash Venice here, it really is something you should see, but a single day there will be enough.
The point is, other cities have much more to offer.
