Sounds awesome, I especially love the little bits of background atmosphere that supports the rest of the musical elements.

Not bad at all.

It's a good toughen up for sure.

I do prefer the synth work in the original, but it's gonna be pretty fucking hard to top the work of Rollo, guy's mad skilled.

Try and remix this next...

Rollo and his later projects have allways been before their time. (and of cource old projects too) We Beach X like to make our production with little old flavors that someone might say are used over. But many say that they miss old trance, so we will give our best to combine old and new. Listen to our Soundcloud page and you know what I mean

Nice overall track, but to be honest this feels a bit safe for my tastes.
What you have done, has indeed been done well and I can't fault it in terms of excecution but I find it totally lacking in terms of putting your own mark on it. There is nothing in that track that makes this stand out from the gazilion other producers who use similar patches, arps and kick sounds.

You guys have skills, but I would like to get an idea of what you sound like, not how you sound like everyone else. That said, that will come with time.

I did enjoy this, but would probably pass if someone asked me if I wanted to play this out.

Cheers
Karl

Allmost all you say is right. We made this to be a crowdpleaser for our dj sets. This is just one of those tunes that should let be untouched if you don't want different kind of opinions. (some classics are like that) But there just wasn't a version that would fit todays trancesets. But thanks for your opinion!

In context your work makes sense, and in that light I have probably been a bit harsh.

Cheers

As one of the co-producers of this remix, I completely agree. The remix is definitely generic and Beach X still hasn't found it's own sound. But which uplifting producers are unique anyway? Is there even this type of fast trance that doesn't sound like every other track? The Beach X sound is somewhat unique in a way that it combines oldschool elements to modern production techniques, but the arrangements and sounds are all pretty standard 'done thousand times' type.

It's something I would personally want to change and do things differently than what people are used to, but when you're in a band of 4 people, it's hard to follow one vision.

Uniqueness and forward thinking are things that all producers should strive for, but it's a lot easier said than done. Plus it doens't mean one can't enjoy a song with generic sounds and arrangements if the melodies and riffs are enjoyable.

I agree. Originality clearly has it's place, but sometimes its more important to do something really well, & I recon you did a great job.

coming through very nice on the latop - sounds sweet

i think sometimes you might want to be original - sometimes you might want to make something that sits besides other tracks nicely - and to do so takes a lot of skill and dedication imo most of the time.
