i suggest going to ur local radio stations website and check out whats playing around your area...they should post top 40/10 charts

most record stores have a top section, you might try pulling a few records from that section

HOW TO do pop shit and keep your credibility

Sarah McLachlan remixes? Hybrid's Super Collider remix of Fear is too cool (read: too underground) for radio, so use DJ tiesto's remix of Silence. Madonna remixes? Sky Fits Heaven (Sasha remix edit) is so mint it's becoming my guilty pleasure. for "newer" stuff, try What It Feels Like For A Girl (Paul Oakenfold Remix) Ayumi Hamasaki remixes? M (Above & Beyond Remix) and Duty (Eric Kupper Main Room Mix) are amazing, and you can't say that Ayu ain't a pop singer. wait, it's not japan here.

Aurora - Ordinary World is a remake of a Duran Duran tune, so it fits your criteria. everybody knows U2, so how about a Paul van Dyk remix of Elevation? iio - Rapture is abused to the point it's becoming dance pop, you may wanna include that as well. and if your boss says that's not top 40 shit, tell him that it's included in an EMI compilation. Shane 54 has just done a remix for Lenny Kravitz's "Believe In Me", so use it, as well as New Order, if they ain't too underground for your boss. Someone Like You (Gabriel & Dresden 911 Vocal Mix) should add another meaning this week, since it's actually a tribute (according to the record sleeve, they recorded it on "that day"). also, Blank & Jones have remixed Pet Shop Boys' "Home & Dry", go figure. finally, if you've decided to use DJ Sammy & Yanou - Heaven, use Green Court's remix for the sake of everyone in this forum.
