Classifications of sub genres?

I know i like a tidy mp3 library which means i seperate my trance by sub genres like prog, uplifting, chill etc. But as i was doin this i second guessed my methods for doing. Whats you're way of classification and is there a right and wrong way in which to do so?

Trance sub-genres

there are...
Acid Trance (e.g. Commander Tom)
Melodic Trance (e.g. Ferry Corsten, Push)
Psychedelic Trance (e.g. Astral Projection. same as Goa to me)
Breakbeat Trance (e.g. Hybrid, Starecase)
Tech-Trance (e.g. Taucher, Breeder)
Hard Trance (e.g. Cosmic Gate, K90)
Progressive Trance (e.g. James Holden, Max Graham)
Cheese Trance (e.g. Ian van Dahl, DJ Sammy. j/k, call it "Euro Dance" if you like)

is there such thing as Deep Trance (ain't that the same as Progressive?!), Dark Trance, and EBM Trance?!?!

Compare Digweed to Sasha. They're both Progressive, but Digweed is deeper and uses a bit more Progressive house in his sets.

Regular "Trance" is basically Tiesto, PvD, and other mainstream DJs. Uplifting/Epic is Ferry, Armin, ect. I use the term "melodic" to describe anything between those two.

Otherwise I agree with fieroavian.

The problem I see with trance is that you cant realy catagorize it because most songs have elements of the diffrent genres.
