I'm not an Armin fanboy, but lets be honest, he runs one of the largest labels in electronic music as well as one of the most popular radio shows.
How is he not on that list?
I'd say like 10 of those names even deserve to be on this list. Complete joke.

I think the overall structure of the list is dumb, but if they dropped the ranking pretense and added Armin and Above & Beyond I'd actually recommend this list for someone coming in with 0 understanding of "whose who" in the electronic scene, with the obvious caveat that it's not inclusive.
There's actually a good balance of important historical figures, "underground" djs, and huge commercial sucesses in a number of different genres. If it were just billed as a "primer on EDM" instead of the whole "THESE DJS RULE EVERYTHING" nonsense it'd be a lot less objectionable, IMO.
the list reads like a stream of consciousness by the person who came up with it. first the guy reels off a bunch of super popular commercial djs, then decides he needs to keep some credibility by throwing in a bunch of underground names, then loses his mind.

I opened this thread expecting a good laugh, but it's even more ridiculous than I thought! I suppose this compares to "DJMAG: The 25 Rock Bands That Rule The Earth." Devo would clearly top that list!
