Pitch on M3D

I just bought a M3D 2 weeks ago brand new from guitar center and noticed that when you put the pitch slider at 0%, it is not quite at 0% when looking at the red strobe pitch indicator (large red dot is slowly moving, should be still), i checked to see if it was holding its pitch and it did. Is this something to be worried about?

omg i have no clue how you can spin on those
jesus christ!

i suggest you fix them right away...its not that hard to do
ill walk you through it...

1. Get a big cup
2. Fill big cup with water (tap water is sufficient)
3. Pour water on turntable

but seriously
just look at the dots and if they're moving a little bit who cares...its rare that a turntables pitch is exactly on anyways
as long as the dots aren't spinning ridiculously out of control when they're supposed to be stationary you should be fine

yes i agree, although u expect to get exact pitch when you pay top dollar for an credibe TT, don't worry if they are slightly moving.. even if they are making the pitch not stay constant, u can learn to adapt to it, not every TT at a club is gonna be in perfect condition.. anyone that learned to beatmatch on belt drive TT's (like myself) where pitch is almost non-existant (unless u have some expensive belt drive system) will think that those dots aren't supposed to stay still and were surprised the first time they saw them stay still on a technics TT.. unfortunately i haven't used belt driven tables in so long i'd be afraid if i had to jump on them again but at least i know i did it before.. but my friend has a couple mixed cd's that sound pretty flawless mixing and i found out he did them on some shitty beltdrives.. moral to my rambling is that if u don't like it take it back and tell guitar center your not satisfied but it shouldn't really affect ur performance.

You do get exact pitch, it's just that zero isn't exactly zero. First of all, who cares. Second of all, it can be fixed... but why you'd want to is another issue altogether.

same with mine. But i cant really calibrate mine coz it voids my 1 year warranty, so i think i'll wait till the warranty is over, and then get it done.

get it done by an authorized panasonic dealer, that wont void the warranty, it will however, cost about $75(from the one shop I found)

i read this before and thought you were talking about a mark2? in which case it would be fucked if you had clicked in 0 and it was still moving but then i just realised you said m3d with a m3d dont you use the pitch reset button to obtain perfect 0 pitch? otherwise check youve got it on 0 exactly (not even a tiny mm up or down)...
