The Dirty Game of Real Estate

I have been in this game for 4 years now. I have sold Millions of dollars of real estate. I have sold land, homes, condos, semi detaches, townhomes, mobile fuckin trailers, cottages etc. I have been doing this for 4 years now 2 of them part time and 2 of them full time now. I have come to the conclusion be very good at this game you dont have to sell real estate you have to sell lies. I have grinded so hard like a bloody soldier in the trenches, fighting for whats right for my clients and making sure they don't get ripped off.

It's a bad way to run a business in this industry. The ones who get a head are the ones who lie cheat and steal from their clients. Us jerk offs that stand for something close maybe 50 percent of the time. The liars and snakes close 100% of the time. It's the only way to get a head.

If you bought your home from a top guy chances are you overpaid. If you sold your home through a top guy, chances are you got undersold.

I lost a big deal today because I was being tough and would not let my buyers overpay on a piece of shit. A top dog would have suckered their clients into it. But I couldn't do it. the facts were staring at me straight in the face telling me this piece of shit isnt worth this money. ABC's always be closing.

anyways thats my rant. I had to get it out somewhere. better here then where all my clients can see on fb.

4 years is not a long time. Don't most brokers make you train on the job for another few years after getting your license ? I think most agents would kinda chuckle at your " in the game for 4 years " .

You do come across as a poorly educated thug at least on here. I can't picture you walking without a little swagger , some headphones and a prepared monologue describing the state of your pimp.

Not sure this is just a character you play. I mean I get that, But you are just really fucking consistent.

Yeah, that sucks Eric. Real estate is definitely a shark's game. If you value your integrity, it's likely going to be pretty tough on you.

My fiancee's brother is in the real estate game down on the Gold Coast, and he's doing really well - because he's a lying prick. He's been doing it for about 6 years now, I think, but he's already been sued twice for flat out bullshitting people, lol. He won both times, but it cost him pretty dearly - it's still pretty funny though.

i find people that feel this way tend to not really care for the actual job. They could be selling anything. Selling is easy if you love what you sell. If you love homes, from yards , to indoor decorating, and know everything there is to know about them. styles , history .... it is easy to sell. If you are just selling real estate because it is a job, then it is like anything else and you will have to fake it.

Selling is easy if you love what you sell. And you don't feel like a scumbag for doing it.

i don't quite get the OP; are you buying on behalf of clients are you? and another guy like you outbid you on the offer to the vendor? i only ask because most RE agents over here do the selling, there's only 1 agent (or company) for a property etc. clients do their own offers, they dont (normally) enlist someone to make offers on their behalf?

Well spotted, I missed that.

Eric, are you a selling agent, or are you buying property for people?

Not sure how it is in Canada, but in the US they often do both in the same position.

You sell and you buy on behalf of clients, sometimes (not sure how often) both for the same client.
