Rasta [Electronic] Synesthesia [Original Song]

There it is. Kinda has a Glitch Mob / Daft Punk / Justice feel to it.
Let me know what you think! Thanks.

Not bad at all.

Although I do think the accompanying lead needs more work. It doesn't really seem to occupy a sensible space in the over all mix. Can't work out if it's the patch or the fact that it's totally dry that is the problem.

The main lead is good, but the problem is that there are many songs that feature this so I think you need to ask yourself the question, what can you do to imprint your own sound. What is YOUR sound?

You have some skills that's for sure, but you do need to work on your mix down. It's hard and took me a long time to get anywhere near right. You need to use a lot of reference material to A and B against so that you get the balance right.

Thanks for sharing though

Cheers
Nem

Thanks for the honest feedback. My mentality when I was making this track was just to emulate what I like to hear in electronic music. Obviously the Glitch Mob was a big influence on me but I was attempting to make something faster with more energy and melodies. I'm trying create really interesting synth leads as opposed to vocals in order to keep things interesting, like around 1:30. But the question you pose is an extremely difficult one to answer. I suppose the best way to find my own style is to just keep producing and experimenting until I find what I'm looking for.
