Do you consider Traffic and Adagio for Strings good?

what do you guys think about Traffic and Adagio? am I the only one that finds these tracks cheesy?

these tracks are kinda glorified by the masses, when really there are better tracks produced/remixed by Tiesto.

I like them both, I just don't think they are on par with Tiesto's older songs.

though these tracks are cheesy, it doesn't mean it's not good...

how do you guys feel?

I feel these tracks aren't worth serious discussion anymore, so here's that 'dut dut dut' video again.

Whilst I fear for my credibility, I think 'Traffic' is an absolute banger!

For me that track is underrated, if anything. Everyone thinks it's absolute crap because Tiesto put his name on it, where as if some unheard of producer had made it, I think it would have gone down as a good underground tech-trance record for the time

'Adagio for Stings' pisses me off quite a bit. His best track is 'Suburban Train'

You people should stop with this nonsense "tiesto produced". Tiesto has never produced anything. He got lucky to appear at the right moment.
"His" most famous tracks are rip-off's, or completely made by ghost producers.
He built his name upon tracks like "Voyage" or "Destination Sunshine". Many people on the net still believe these are his own creations.

Well smarty pants. The really early tracks (pre 98/99) before when he started producing with Geert Huinink were totally by the mister himself.

Also, the fact that the tracks have been produced by someone else does not make the music itself any less. That argument is just a way for bittered producers to think more highly of themselves.

Whilst that is very difficult to argue with, I'd say a lot of the big club tracks that everyone loves from back then are equally basic.

I guess I was just happier when I used to be able to go clubbing and hear stuff like this thrown in to the mix, as opposed to exclusively fluffy uplifting stuff that completely dominated the scene a few years later

don't like tiesto's adagio. apart from sounding crap, it's like he just wanted in on the act after ferry's awesome mix.

and traffic is pretty bad, though i do remember liking the montana remix.

the best tiesto thing by far is flight 643. a masterpiece of its time.

sometimes the KISS principle works, even in EDM world

I'm sure from producing POV people can rip Traffic apart, but it does work in club setting
