Free Taiko Drum Rack for Ableton and Samples

I've been hacking away to make a new Taiko Drum rack and just released it for free. The Taiko is a beautiful and big drum. I made the Drum rack with multi sample one shots for velocity. Really proud of this and glad to share it with other producers.

Here is a video on it:

Mics

Mixture of mics. These were from a while back I just spliced them up though. I know I used some nice U87 room mics and then some SM47's close to get some good sounds there. Mixed and did a lot of processing.

too bad you didn't film a bit of the session.

What system did you use to manage the consistency in velocity ? I can't imagine getting the 2 sides hit at the same level , spot and time.

Have you considered making a Kontakt version ?

I wasn't nearly a good at recording and all the details back then. I never thought of recording the video. That is AWESOME idea.

I sadly don't know Kontact that well to do it. Feel free to though and post it.
