Hello there peeps i am an aspiring dj and music producer ., i am currently learning and any of you who are also learning or have learned no how difficult it is and how helpful a 2nd or 3rd opinion can be especially with people who know there shit anyways this is my first attempt at a vocal track so would love some feedback bear in mind its still very rough and i only started it today so will do plenty more to it just wanna no if im not murdering this great track thanks any tips on vocal chopping or anything to do with vocals ould also be helpfull

Looking at your message history with no responses to other peoples tracks it's safe to say you do not deserve any feedback either.

a 2nd opinion? as in, yours was the first? Yea, okay, well if you truly want an opinion other than your own.. it was an atrocious listening experience. Go back and find the key of the song. It sounds way off. Secondly, the bass, was it a patch? Sounds like it wasn't processed at all. I'll give you credit for the main lead. I'm always a sucker for those sort of sounds but still sounded super weak. Percussion (midway) through sounded alright however, its barely audible throughout. If I were you and I wanted to remix this track, I'd go and find some midi elements of the original. At least then you'll know what the correct chord progressions should be. Then I'd go back and redo it..

1) you feedback to others no matter how unskilled you might feel you are - afterall you make subjective judgements every time you download from beatport so don't use the lame excuse you don't know how to pass a judgement.

Make your feedback useful and be honest.

thanks for the feedback yes the key was off hav fixed it now and as i said its a work in progress i only started today just will spend a lot more time it hasnt been mixed dwn or anything i appreciate the comments now i no what i must work on which is pretty much the whole track its only a single bassline i havent done anything bar some side chaining do u think i should layer it or what do u think could inprove it?

im new to this so i dnt no how to embed it and i can tell people if i like it but as far as giving them tips im not that good yet but someday hopefully will have enough knoweldge to be able to share it with others

Sticking it in the right section would help too.

you're welcome, and I wasn't trying to be an ass but for some reason I expected at least something other than what I heard. The entire off key thing was like nails on a chalk board. I really was at a loss. But, its not the worse that I've heard and I'm sure at one point in my production days my stuff sounded almost as atrocious. It really puts into perspective how good, good producers are and how far people like you and me have to come in order to put something decent together..

Now you asked for some advice on how to make it better and I have no problem sharing my experience with you. But what I think you should do first is experiment more with your song.

Make this track sound like something you'd hear in your favorite mix. Turn up the levels, fix the key, make the bass, a bassline worth hearing. Add some sidechain, reverb. Use your filters to sweep up and down different elements. Maybe instead of jumping right into the vocals as you did, you can begin with a vocal chop.

Take out those cheesy ass bells. Elaborate on your main lead. Make it loud and fit more prominently into your mix. Add fx to your breaks.

Man there's so much- that's why I said experiment. Make this track your own.

Then come back and ask us what we think about it..

also.. what DAW do you use? Any vst's? Tell us what your working with..

my feedback is i suggest you learn the difference between a bootleg and a remix, since BT clearly didn't ask you to remix this.

ha i no ur not tryin to be an ass i ask for an opinion and i got it thanks i know i have a new found respect for artist since i began learning u dnt realise how much work and creativity it takes to make a great track one day i hope to be good but its gonna take a lot of time and effort and i no this so forgive me if i make a few shite tracks along the way i have done some more work on it today will re upload it i added another lead got rid of the cheesey bells added chorus and a sausage fattner to the bass did a bit of mixing a few vocal chops im using logic 9 and sylenth and massive
