I have an obsessive habit of always washing the dishes as I get done cooking with them (pots, pans, utensils). After I plate the food, I allow whoever I'm cooking for to start eating while I wash whatever is left over and wipe down the kitchen.

There's just something about eating a good meal and not having to worry about a leftover mess to take care of afterward.

Anyone have a habit of doing this? Or do you just leave it to do after your meal?

Or even worse leave everything l in the sink to dry out until the next day, or the next, or the next...

I check back after 3 days and see if the cure for cancer can be found. If I come to the conclusion it's unlikely that I'm about to find the next penicillin, I sob and wash up.

So what you're saying is just because you get married doesn't mean you've acquired a personal dishwasher.

Washing the dishes before eating your meal is kinda weird. Your food will get cold!

I just leave them until after the meal is finished, or occasionally the next morning. Half the time I use the dishwasher anyway, so it's not really a big deal.

Dirty dishes disgust me. I have to clean things as soon as I'm done with them.

I don't mind doing dishes, but i also like to try and do them as I'm cooking or soon thereafter. i HATE scrubbing and scrubbing. just easiest to do stuff right away...
