Hello.

Here is my first try of an Electro-House remix.
I'm spending some hours of the day learning about (theory + software) and trying music production.
I have good knowledge in hardware, physics and electrical waves/shapes, since I work creating, developing and studying hardware in the last 5 years.

I already work for a considerable time with some softwares like SoundForge, Adobe Audition, Sony ACID Pro, and a little bit of Fruity Loops. Since I don't like Fruity Loops/ACID Pro interfaces (there are many resources I need that they don't have), I'm planning to learn Cubase and/or Ableton through tutorials/videos and through practice. Recommendations?

I already know most of famous artists like Deadmau5 and Hardwell uses keyboards, real instruments and hardware-based devices, to create effects and synths. Does somebody knows a simple and cheap hardware-based device/synthetizer, to use as starting point? Or do I need to build my own hardware? (that's possible to me, but this would take much time)

Is a good idea participating of remix contests?
