Was listening to Daft Punk - Superheroes, and heard that pad coming in, and immediately a question struck my brain Where have I heard this pad before? Sounds like someone from the modern scene did that, although, kill me, but I cant remember who. Any tips?

i think they just commented on it. But you can't really compare interscopes cash cow and the 100 copies they sold of the other track which is really a chord progression and not subject to copyright laws.
they really fucked up the hole will i am thing. they had interscope by the balls but as soon as they admitted that they didn't give permission, will i am went into damage recovery and matt zo and arty lost some considerable leverage.
talk to your fucking legal team before ever saying anything in public especially this big.

Would be easier to report them as a whole artist, all their tracks sampled something from somewhere, nobody seems to care and i don't know if there's law work behind them.
I am going to rip Mozart seems thight.

because probably instead of going on court were will i am could be really raped now will simply send a check and tell them to have their mouth closed.
There's no real difference between abusing vs stealing both things are illegal, it's just that probably since he stated that is willing to repair the damage caused it will be treated by civil law/friendly negotiation instead of by penal copyright laws that could even involve prison (but not for this for sure i think nobody has gone to jail because of piracy except maybe the megaupload owner i don't know how it ended)

They gained nothing by saying it wasn't cleared. They forced him to save face and that considerably lowers the potential financial gain they could of made because that leverage is gone. Both labels knew that there was no way you could deny the theft. The best case now could of been writer royalties as i think the audio was a sound alike but as if that is going to happen. Pretty sure they will issue a licensing deal, a cash payout to grease the label head to convince the original producers of the deal with a portion of the royalties and some seemingly great deal like 100% royalties after the first year which they will think is fantastic except that track is not a single, will probably never be synced and will not ever be publicized in any way. Will I Am already took the , i am just such a fan route which you can be pretty damn sure he isn't. That track will be buried.
Basically, they could of got the same deal and more for not disclosing the details and actually saying they had an agreement. Will I Am maintains what ever they consider integrity ,which would of been secured with hush money in the millions and they would get what ever they are going to get now. And you would not have to deal with a major label wanting to skull fuck you into the ground because right or wrong, when you make them look stupid, that is what they want to do.
this won't go to court. That is the last thing you do when dealing with a major label concerning their main cash cow unless you are also backed by a major label. Which they are not. You can already see how the trance producers are now being nice and cooperative.
