Philip Glass - Koyaanisqatsi (MNW Remix)

What's up again TA,

Just finished a remix that was inspired after I watched the movie Koyaanisqatsi. As a fan of Philip Glass, I tried to respect the original track and infused my own interpretation with ambient and glitch beats. Overall, I strived to create a stronger thematic statement of the relationship between technology and nature. Hope you guys enjoy this one!

Musically it's ok, but you really need to clear out the strings bad frequencies (Lows and highs), same with the bass sound. It's just too overpowering, especially when the drums come in, they sound really muffled. If you used a limiter, re-do it because it seems there's too much maximalization going on. I like the overall idea, it'll turn out good.

Alright, thanks Vernon for the feedback! When you say the strings, are you talking about the synth that comes in following the bassline? I stuck a generously disabling high cut on it to address the issue of muddy frequencies... however it may just naturally have a muddy sound because of how the mix is composed. Do you think sidechain compression would benefit the balance between the drums and the instruments? I think i also could just tweak the eq more or revamp the sound design.

Yea, I was pretty generous with a limiter during "mastering". I probably should of worked more on compression than just brickwalling the whole thing. and thanks for your appreciation
