Stanton 680 EL II..... Too Crispy??

Hi Fellas, I bought an 680 EL II cartridge, Before that..I had some pickering Cartridge, before I put the stanton into the headshell and prove it I have heard that their sounds(680 EL II) was crispy.. now Ive been proving it... but the sound is just too crispy... i mean.. some tracks the bass is very DIrty, I prove it with the Joy Energizer song since that song has a strong Bass... Hawever, the bass was very Dirty.. so... is this normal in this cartridge??.. Thats all.. I hope u can help me

I have one of these cartridges as a back-up. The bass sounds very good to me. It seems to give a fuller sound from the low and midrange when compared to my Stanton Discmasters II. Try cleaning the stylus and the contacts.

mine sound good too... they do wear out fast though
