I'm fairly new to the Trance genre and the format of release is kind of confusing as there's so many various versions of the album that I end up with a mixture of mixed and unmixed albums for an artists discography.

I want them to be consistent and all of the same type. How do I get mixed (continuous mix with split tracks) and what is the purpose for releasing so many versions ? Including remix albums, extended mix albums etc etc
