The Harder Side of Trance - Who Digs?

I love HardTrance! There are so many new releases coming out of the UK from artists that used to do hardhouse, that are now bringing stomping hardtrance tracks...

who else is following this change? am i the only one?

post your favorite block-rockin hardtrance tracks while your at it

the stuff u talk about is more hardhouse with synths.

there are 3 different types of hard trance

trance which is a bit harder but retains all them trancey elements (example: flutlicht/shokk)

trance which is hardhouse with synths and a few trancey kicks (example: lee haslam)

hardstyle based trance which is a hyprid of the two (example: scot project)

i prefer the first, but most peopel are ignorant to the different types which is why i say i listen to nu-hardtrance, the other being hard trance and hardstyle trance respectivly

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

true enough. i still consider it hardtrance though, because it doesnt really fall under hardhouse. too many subgenres :P most of it is much more based on the 32's (8 bar) rather than groups or 2 or 4 bars as hardhouse tends to be.

hardstyle. interesting way to describe it.. and yes, scot project is a good example of the style of music i spin (and love) ...

shokk, flulict, all that stuff, isnt even hard trance to me. i consider it 'slightly more agressive and not so sleepy trance'

i think this way because hardhouse is what i started with... so even scot project is a bit light to me. i barely spin hardhouse anymore, since i've basically been addicted to what you call hardstyle

and recently i'm getting into fast&hard psytrance and acid techno. this is getting expensive, but fun
