Hand out pills of extasy to the whole class, and then put on Magick 6, and play the winamp visualization program on the wall.

that should do it.

:P

hmm thats cool of you to do something like that. although it might backfire and people would be like ahh trance sucks. lets hope that doesnt happen. maybe you could make a mix for them to demonstrate the different sytles, genres, timeperiods. good luck man it sounds like a cool idea

just a tip, take out ur politics of dancing cover notes. be sure to talk about how it changes the world socially, culturally. explain that trance/electornica whatever rarely has words, thus being a form of expression that is universally understood. good luck

yeah, it could backfire all right. people would consider you a tool who listens to crappy unnatural electronic music... and your trance promotion would go down the drain...

Repeat, what I said somewhere in other thread :

Are you sure students gonna listen to you talking about the trance, or how the synth works? Imho, not everybody loves trance in this country, and definitely not everybody wants to be a DJ... But hey, I would be interested
I suggest - talk about DJs that around now, what party they were recently, maybe some1 was in your city... Talk about classic trance tunes, like PVDs For An Angel or R.Miles's Children - sure everybody knows them, then throw some facts about what's hot today... Vidz would be nice, but expect to destroy CDs as quickly as possible if police turns up

I think a breif history,

try some clips from some rave movies. human traffic, groove? i dont remember the other ones, but find a cool dance seen if you can.

Even better yet, get the bloody shower from blade 1 with the song Confusion

Heres what i would do:
-breif history
-relate it to club/rave/youth culture
-something about genres
-play jungle (most people will like jungle )

may be hyperreal.org might help you out, its has music, culture and drugs, pretty much all you need to know
