Slight problem with sound envelope

i have this kinda lead sound, where im automating the env depth to open out the filter as the track goes

The attack is set to around 0.38sec so the problem is when the env depth is low, the sound is horribly delayed, i dont want to adjust the attack as thats part of the sound

It perfect when the env depth is more open - its just when im kinda bringing the sound in its so far off it just sounds shit

I cant open the filter instead as it completely changes the sound - only thing i can think of is to have some sort of delay offset which i can also automate to negate the delay

any other ideas?? its just annoying me now :-/

yur talking about the filter envelope right?
try turning the attack back to zero and see if that helps.

Can you change the envelope shape in the synth you're using so that the attack is set to exponential (is it that one?) instead of linear, it should speed up the attack phase.

thanks for the suggestions, i had forgotten about this one - think i ended up ditching the sound for something else in end

the whole thing was i didnt want to change the sound of the attack portion it had a kind of squelchy sound, adjusting the attack time or the filter env. shape would have changed that

i think i was experimenting with having a fixed delay time set to milliseconds, 100% wet and then adjusting that to offset the delay as i changed the filter env

anyhow, thanks
