Has Moskito shut down? I just tried to find out what upcoming shows are there, but nothing on their facebook or twitter since a cancelled show announcement on Aug 10...and their website is gone as well.
First time I went there it was rammed, second time not so much...a shame if it's gone as it had a decent soundsystem, and it's always nice to have more options...

More accurate, and better explains why it didn't last.
Under serious renovations. Big things are planned, better support and more.
Won't be long. A lot of issues will be addressed.

i personally really like Moskito, i would say it was my fav spot in the city... the much needed renovations are welcomed...
only major complain is do not go this spot for new years, unless theres something major happening... i made that mistake...

I really really hope they fix their ventilation and sound system
one of the best venues in town if they do that

It had a nice dark, intimate vibe like the Gallery in the Guvernment. I like the cosy feel.
Hopefully it does come back...but the last few things in that space haven't made it.
Is it the same owners?

I was wondering why there haven't been any recent bookings at Moskito. I've had a couple really good nights there and hope to have more in the future. Tom Hades was an honourable mention - empty dance floor on a Friday night dropping bombs. Didn't need ventilation that night even though we were jacking that floor lol.
I hope they don't renovate too much...I personally liked the bare bones structure, decor, and dim lighting. Gave off a nice aura. It'd be a shame if it was turned into something more upscale Just tweak the sound and more ventilation as mentioned before.
Looking forward to hearing more updates.

Hasn't it just been a year they've opened? Renovations already? I guess that's a good sign. With INK not doing any underground bookings there's barely any competition especially after summer is done. The market is all FW's or Moskito's.
I would like to see sound upgrades for sure - more speakers... Not just better tuning but re-designing the place to have better acoustics and sound isolation.

Not even a year. Their first party was for Halloween last year. I hope they are in fact doing renos because there's no sign of the club at all on RA and they have blurbs on clubs that have closed down for good. Very strange.
Here's hoping we all dance there before the new year.
