what would your Trance be like...

imagine...you wake up and find yourself in your own dream studio, everythings there...you got all those sounds of Ferry, Tiesto, Cosmic Gate, S.H.O.K.K., Oakenfold ( and you know how to put them together of course ) ...you know about notes and composition...

How would trance be if YOU had the abilities, equipment and technology of the above ?

Mzzz... Very warm basslines, never too smooth synths, hard drive, lots of breakbeat.

In my fav alias I would make progressive and melodic at the same.. something like a cross between Escape - Salina, Roland K - Elixir, Albion - Air.. that deeper melodic.

In other alias I would make bangin' non-inteligent techy trance fillers.. sorta like a cross between Red Hot Ryders - Machine Control (DJ Vincenzo remix), 2 Times Eleven - BMX and Eon - Pocket Damage.

And in other alias pure uplifting anthems.. like Tony Walker - Fields of Joy, Rank 1 - Airwave, System F - Elevate

like.. if I was the perfect producer.. I'm not. quite a really crappy one but hey, i'm still learning, gotta have hope

I'd be like Sasha and Holden combined together. Put alot of vocals in my work and a lot of complex melodies.

I wouldn't use the cool leads from corsten and avb. I'd choose my own style...chill synths, basslines smooth and shocking, technically it must sound good.

mmm trance

It would be like one long amazing orgasm...
an amazing beautiful build up.. scattered vocals...beat drops out.. more build up to the point where you think that you can't build up anymore.. and then wammmm... an explosion of the most beautiful sounds that would send chills down your spine with a slamming beat.
Mmmm... orgasmic trance =)

I would have lots and lots of bongos and other tribal percussion accompanying a driving kick, with a flowing bassline similary to ferry's style. And I'd have piercing raw synths like that of flutlicht,, and then the actual melody would be complex and elevating.

actually, this sounds good.. trancevision you've inspired my next track.

I think I would produce a lot of breaktrance...and rework tracks like PvD to fit my sets.

I'd have a few different styles and probably have a few different aliases. Here is what I think I'd be like:

Progressive trance with breaks - Sander Kleinenberg, Sasha, James Holden, Parks and Wilson, Satoshi Tomiie, Hybrid, Blackwatch, and BT all rolled into one.

Chilled out stuff - Matt Darey, Solar Stone, Enigma, Chicane, etc.

Trance done my way - Don't know how to classify this one. Think Oliver Liebs L.S.G. alias combined with elements of Planisphere, Thrillseekers, Oakenfold, PvD, and Way Out West. Throw in a little influence from Future Sound Of London and Orbital for good measure and I'd add the rest of my own "unique" sound.

Movie soundtracks - Epic, powerful, and emotional movie soundtracks.
