Some of my friends take it and they've taken it for a year. After they got off it the depression was gone. Only thing is the strong sexual side effects and the drowsiness. Besides that everything else was cool. Yet there are some better medications than paxil out there especially for anxiety. Paxil is 95% for depression. Im suprised your doctor didnt purscribe a better one for your symptom.

Drug works.....i've been taking it for yrs.....wonder drug if i ever saw one. It has cured my depression completely.

I had a friend who was on it for a year. She slept all the friggen time. She said getting off it was the best thing she has ever done.

i used to work at a pharmany, i thought paxil was for those losers with social anxiety disorder.

it depends , for most people drugs do help them , for others it doesn't , Paxil works great but there might be some sexual side effect (in the beginning only) , NOTHING TO WORRY AT ALL (you're less hornier than usual haha)

As long as your doctor tells you to. The problem a lot of people have is the medicine is working, so they no longer feel anxious or depressed, decide there cured and stop using it. Then they go back into the depresion cycle.
