Special Effects Sounds

Hey guys!

Does anyone know how to sysnthesize this effect?

It is sort of like a stuttering vocal, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

In addition, do you guys know how to make a riser like this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e87r-2xQG_Q&t=0m26s

I tried making a really fast lfo on pitch and pitch bending the note upwards, but it just sounds like there is not enough going on in mine. Help Appreciated!

Try gating the vocal, the effect in the song has a certain pattern behind it, easy to hear. Also don't forget the panning.

Actually that sounds like individual vocal stab samples played in rapid succession.
