Would be a shame to miss out on an Essential Mix nostalgia thread...
So I'm not an avid a listener as many but some of my favourites would have to be Sasha's Ableton Mix from 2005, the Paul Oakenfold 1994 Goa Mix and the entire Essential Mix World Tour from Oakie. No real surprises or imaginative choices there but hey....

My top five would probably be:
1. Leftfield, 1994
2. The Future Sound Of London 1993
3. BT, 1997
4. Paul Van Dyk 1997
5. Sasha, May 21st 1995
great fn list. all those are beyond amazing. My top 5 would probably be:
1. Sasha 1995
2. Paul Van Dyk 1997
3. Future Sound of London 1993
4. Sasha and Digweed Delta Heavy 2002
5. Paul Oakenfold GOA mix
Not even an Oakie fan but hard not to argue how revolutionary that mix was. Basically created the essential mix and i remember hearing it in the 90s for the first time and how blown away i was by it. Delta Heavy will always hold a special place in my heart since I saw them for that tour. Great times.
lot of memories, still have the daft punk mix from 1997 in heavy rotation.

Yessir! Amazing duo, always saddens me that they just abruptly stopped putting out releases. P.S., this youtube link is missing 30 minutes of their actual set (not live set).
Can't find a DL link, that shit is nowhere. It's on my HD on my desktop computer though I THINK, which is currently sitting in a box 6000 KM away

I have listened to shamefully little EMs. I should go on a binge. That EM website and that Soundcloud account got shut down right?
