it's funny.. every year that i've gone i've become more wise and have done less parties but enjoyed them more.

i remember my first year literally trying to hit 4-5 parties a day because i wanted to do it all. plus, it was all new to me.

only doing a quick weekend this year, mostly to see all my friends and because i haven't been to miami in a year. missing it bad.

getting in friday night and doing enter, although considering doing double duty and starting with a party at the beach (either gerber or diggers) before heading downtown. also, if adriatique are on the terrace during sunrise, there's a strong possibility i weasel my way over there.

saturday, the zabiela boat party. saturday night is in the air - probably digweed annihilation at vagabond. don't have much motivation to spend another night at ice palace. we'll see.

sunday - last resort, day and night. probably leave for a few hours for dinner then come back and close it out unless i hit the cityfox/listed party that just popped up.

and of course, the highlight - monday: massive joe's stone crab lunch .

I used to be one of those that did Ultra along with afterparties 3 and 4 nights in a row. Constantly at shows/festival, running on 3 hours sleep, feeling in general like a bag of ass. Sure it was fun, it was new to me, and I was younger.

Now I'm looking forward to going out to eat, hanging at the condo and beach, and just overall relaxing as much as I am the two shows I'm going to this year. First time that I've done the condo thing, and I'm stoked! Wrap-around balcony, modern decor, 38th floor...ON THE BEACH. I'm sure my Klipsch bluetooth speaker will get a lot of play.

Anyways, besides that, here's my schedule

Friday: check-in early, hopefully at 3 or so. Hang out, get some cocktails, eat some good food, walk around, overall just have a chill time...until around 11 pm at which point I'm going to start making my way towards the Ice Palace for ENTER...

Saturday: go to sleep after Enter until late afternoon, and then just basically chill until 8 or 9. We're planning a good dinner somewhere so that'll be good. I'm not buying presales or committing to any parties. If I feel up to it, then maybe the Trade party with Dusky and Matthew Dear. That looks good.

Sunday: rent some jet-skis, get drunk on the beach, disco nap, and rest up for DRUMCODE at Space. Will stay as long as humanly possible.

Monday: get back from Drumcode, take a victory shot of Gran Marnier, pass out, and then go back on Tuesday morning.

Two events is all I'm planning. I used to plan two per day. I like the change -- think I'll enjoy everything more when there's less stress and commitment.

Friday:

Go to Enter after a long disco nap.

Saturday:

Stumble out of the Ice Palace at ? o'clock. Eat lunch head to Ultra for Carl Cox & Friends
Leave at the end. Pass out and die.

Sunday:

Sleep as long as humanly possible/rest up. Make my way to Drumcode!

Monday:

Still dancing at Drumcode. Leave and then really die.

Still not sure about day parties throughout the week. Still waiting to find out a few things about work for the week. I will be "sick" Monday though. Sick of dancing...

Well, as we are all getting older and cutting out the amount of parties we do daily during WMC, here is my schedule so far pending I don't cancel out as I am not too thrilled now as I think about it with my decision of only being in Miami for 36 hours.

Saturday - arrive around 4pm. Head maybe to the PvD yacht party or just chill at the beach and have some sushi somewhere along the way. Night time making my way to the Deep Dish party. This is the only reason why I decided to do WMC this year. Was going to skip out on my 8th annual voyage there. Stumbling out around 5am and heading to get some rest

Sunday - beach time, try to find some good food to eat and bum around until Drumcode.

Monday - 9am flight back home after a 36 hour bender or a 36 hour suckfest. Time will tell...

If you lived in Miami full time you would kill yourself. WMC is the only time out of the year we get so much Trance. I'd easily trade going to Rong Manchester, Energy Box, and etc. to the meager selection we get here.
