Sad My Sony Headphones are broken...again!

It's the second time the swivel is broken. Sony takes another month to order parts in. Just wants to warn any of you who's gonna be buying these headphones to really really think twice. I've even replaced the swivel parts to those of v700 series yet they still break. So is anyone here able to get the swivel and ship to me i'll pay for it? Or if anyone knows a website i can order these parts in.. HELP!!!

Also anyone using the Technics dj headphones .. what do you think of them? I'm able to get them for 120US$ (locally)is that worth it?

How good are their swivels ... ?? I'm so depressed! I've got a cd to make =P Looks like I'll be skipping college again. The sad thing is most headphones aren't available here and if they are they've been marked up big time by the dj store.

Same here, I just picked up the Technics 1200 headphones last night, and I really like them myself. And Narcissus, yes $120 usd is a good price for them as well, I got mine for $129, but the regular price is $149.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll go and see how they feel. Those pioneers look very interesting too...they look solid! Don't know if they'd be available here. Anyway, the TEchnics there are 1210 and 1200 series... hope they aren't different. For the timing I've taped the swivels so they'd hold til tomorrow.. heheh.

I have the Sony MDR-V700DJ. The swivel cracked as well, then about a week ago, it got pretty bad to where one of the cups almost broke off, so what i did was use crazy glue to put on the major cracks, and it seems to be perfectly fine. I wont bother paying another 40 bucks to replace the headband.. im going to end up using these until they crack every way possible, and just keep using crazy glue,,, thats if it cracks again (knock on wood). Eventually, I may buy another dj headphone if this one becomes a pain in the ass.

WOAH!!!

Look at this site...

*blinks*

This guy is somewhat of the black sheep of head-fi (he's one of the few there that likes the V700DJ), but he offers some interesting comparisons of a LOT of VERY intruiguing headphones!

Thank god you exist.

I actually ordered the Sony headphones you are talking about here just
a couple of days ago, i choose between the Sony and the Pioneer
SE-DJ5000 but i deceided for the Sony because they looked cooler.

Now after reading this i very quickly changed my order.
