I just started producing trance only 6 months,mostly doing remixes (base on midi files,available notes) ...
i'm fan of oldskool but always save some spaces for some modern trance...Uplifting trance, a cool trance subgenre, rich and too emotional... i love uplifting trance and want to make one,but when i try to make one,it turns out to be progressive,hard, oldskool trance instead... what do i miss?
yes, i know the basic,structure of trance...but the problem is the sound, sounds make the trance track "Uplifting"...which i failed to achieve...

can you guy give me some tips,suggestions?

i have sylenth1,synth1,sampletank,kick drum free sample pack

what i know:
- 4/4 Strong kick - ok then multi-layers,EQ editing
- Open Hat,Close hat....yeah..i know
- Uplifting bassline - ok then multi-layers,EQ editing - for fat,rich bassline sound (Is the bassline very importand element?)
- trance saw,epic pad,orchestra,piano......do i need multi-layers?!

i have seen many tutorials youtube,but feel overwhelmed.....

Personally, I don't know why you would be dissatisfied with making classic style progressive hard trance...there's already way too much uplifting these days. It seems with trance now, you either get uplifting, or you get that snoozeworthy 130 bpm minimal stuff...
Really, uplifting trance is pretty basic in terms of sounds used. Punchy kick drum, supersaw, plucked saw bass, etc...it's all about melody. For some reason, I find it difficult, but have been successful a few times, to make a "sad" melody. Ironically, new uplifting stuff often sounds very somber.
What I've done for my uplifting stuff is I try structuring chords to sound like something that you'd hear if you went to see an orchestra play...think of a song from your favorite movie soundtrack, for example...and then arpeggiate those chords into a simple 1-2-3-2 1-2-3-2 and so on progression, as is the typical style for modern uplifting. Have a "bright" piano playing a little ditty after the first 32 bars of the lead as well, with those same chords you used to build the melody playing on a sidechained saw pad. That seems to be more or less the formula.
Here's the latest uplifting tracks I've done...it's all about melody to create the feeling.

If this isn't sarcastic, I agree...sounds like modern spacesynth. I like what you've made here better than 99.9% of uplifting trance honestly.

After a few listens, I think I may actually want to remix this one and release it on my label, if that's alright with you! Really enjoyable track.

i want to make uplifting trance so badly because, after i listened some tracks by Andy Blueman...his biggest remix hit "Serenity"

I spent years trying to emulate Andy Blueman's style and it's more or less a waste of time, there's very little you can do with that genre at this point that hasn't been done literally thousands of times already by far more talented producers with the same goal as you. not trying to offend, it's reality and it took me way too long to realize it.

that said, if you really want to give it a shot, the easiest way to accomplish an uplifting sound is through layering/blending pads to get an airy, lush sound in the background that establishes the chord progression and blends everything together. rolling basslines are overdone to death but if you're not concerned about originality, start practicing those too.

breakdowns are important in uplifting trance but there's no right way or wrong way to do it. if you want to emulate Blueman's style you'll need some orchestral plugins, but beyond that just listen to the genre enough and you'll get a feel for what you like, none of it is particularly difficult to figure out.
