where can noobs get advice on productions?

hey guys,

I'm totally new to producing anything musical but i just wondered where beginners can post what they've made to get advice or help on improving what they've done?

gearslutz.com forums.. they're dickheads but they know what they're talking about. Do more reading and use the search function, and don't start n00b threads.

Uh... TranceAddict.com, anyone? There's a very decent production section here as well.

gearslutz has this huge spectrum and there are way too many people that pretend they know what they are talking about.

KVR is probably the best place but they are not very kind to those that don't sort of try to help themselves ie you missing the forum labelled production.

dubstepforums , not that i go there but i have searched a few things regarding noisia and they seem to be very nice and helpful to people that would be scourned anywere else.

^It is a massive forum, but there's lots of big name producers who used to post on there before they blew up. Levon Vincent got banned on gearslutz lol

everyone is on there or as an account. But the people that post , well, you get alot of people saying nothing. Alot of noise i suppose were the answer is so vague, not wrong but pointless.

How to sound like this. People will say, try using a com=bination of plugins until it sounds right. Like people just want to have their 2 cents. people will just start naming synths use don the album and say , um fiddle with something and....

Hans Zimmer does post here and there at VI but usually when people start making absurd claims regarding him and his process. That forums is more about multimedia / music

But they are all on gearstlutz. I just find that very few of them post. For example, how do you get that synth sound from daft punk.

for EDM,kvr is were you will find the answers nobody else will provide. all the developpers are there which comes with their own issues i wsuppose.
