Quality set mate, the flow was way better than the first draft you sent me, and there are tons of awesome tracks I will be stealing! Usually when DJs pack too many tunes into a set it just sounds like a mess but no issue with that here
The only transition I wasn't crazy about was in the second half, I think coming out of 303 (will need to relisten to confirm). Wasn't bad as such, just didn't have the usual 'dk' flare

Cheers mate, thanks for taking the time to listen to both of them! Its interesting that in the first one I was worried that the loopy techno went on for almost too long, which is why I switched it up but you said almost the exact opposite! Sometimes you can really second guess yourself too much when there isnt an audience to bounce off!
Also I didnt set out to squeeze in loads of tracks, it just kinda happened that way as the tracks fitted themselves together! I guess this relates to the topic of flow, maybe Ill go over to your thread and make some ramblings...

Heh, you know this was one where the two tracks didn't really match harmonically, but sidewinder felt like the right track to play next, which limited the options to a simple bass swap.

It's like there's a double step up, because the music both becomes far more busy and far more anthemic. Techno can work alongside prog-psy, but I think it works much better when the techno is banging. |
Have you listened to this again with decent headphones mate? The techno on here is massively banging, especially these 3
06: Darkskye - Assault & Battery [NGRecords]
07: Matt Minimal - The Fatal Bass [Perfekt Groove]
08: Spektre - Forerunner (Original Club Mix) [Toolroom]
