I'm definitely a Scotch guy 99% of the time. Tried this on a recommendation, and for a bourbon, it's good. I want to try a good entry-level rye next.

Russell's reserve is a good alternative to bulleit and the like.

I had a fifth of Bulleit rye in hand, but it was damned near $40. I wasn't sure if that was a 'normal' price, but it just felt like too much.

Russell's Reserve 6 is usually $35 or less.
