Most comfortable headphons for long studio use hours

I know that this subject was beaten almost to the death but what I'm asking from you guys is a best headphones recommendation for long hours usage in the studio - I know the one thing is tech spec of those headphones and another is this comfort level of wearing them for long hours at the time.

Which one of them feel the most comfortable for you?

Cheers,

Darek

+1 for the 701's, I've never felt any sort of discomfort from them whatsoever even after wearing them for 8+ hours a day, which I used to do pretty regularly on weekends. Before that I had a pair of Grados that would make the top of my head sore after about two hours, but they're not really known for being comfortable as far as I know.

How long they last guys, I had heard some crazy story about AKG 271 MK2 that they fall apart in a few months.

I bought mine 7 years ago, they still work but I've had issues with the left headphone cutting out, I had to resolder the connection once about a year ago and it's been working perfectly up until a couple of weeks ago, starting to have the same problem again.

It took about 4 years of very heavy use for it to start happening, though, and I'm far from gentle with them. I had a bad habit of keeping them on the floor where the cable would get rolled over by my chair and tangled in the wheels on occasion, and I know they've been jerked pretty hard off my head by the cable a few times. Your general wear-and-tear is probably much less severe than mine, and even if you do need to resolder the connection it's an easy fix.

Also there's a clear plastic piece visible here behind the AKG logo, which snapped in half one of the times I stepped on them, but they still work and feel exactly the same and that's the only part that had any damage to it. They're pretty damn sturdy in my experience. I don't know if any changes have been made to the build quality since 2007, though.

I got the 701s.. Can definitely recommend, but I do remember the headband used to hurt the top of my head at first. I think it's only a problem for baldys though

I've probably had them close to 2 years now, used them quite excessively and they are still solid and in great condition.

Here is an interesting debate between AKG 708 vs DT880

Clearly depends on personal preferences.

1.Sony MA900 - only 195 grams, almost no clamping force and you won't need a special amp, but you will settle on analytic capability.
2.AKG K712.
3.AKG K702 Annies\AKG K7XX(=massdrop edition without the uncomfortable bumps found on the headbands of the Q701\K701).
4.DT880 Premium Edition.
